HairpinHeroes Car Culture, Told Slowly - est. 2026

Who we are

About Us

Two editors, four sections, no hurry. Hairpin Heroes is an independent magazine about cars and the people who can't leave them alone.

Hairpin Heroes started the way most good car things start: two people talking about cars long past the point where everyone else had left the room.

We publish stories in four sections — Race Cars, Road Cars, Car Culture and Car People — and we hold all of them to the same rule: the story has to be worth telling slowly. No churn, no press-release rewrites, no fifty-point listicles. A few pieces a week, written because something genuinely interested us.

What we believe

Speed is cheap now. Character isn't. The cars we care about — and the people we write about — tend to have more of the second thing than the first.

If a story here makes you want to go for a pointless drive, take the long way to the shops, or finally finish the project in the garage, it did its job.

The editors

We're two enthusiasts who write, shoot and publish everything you read here. Say hello on the contact page — especially if you know a car, a race, a workshop or a person who deserves a story.
